Protective Gear

Nurse manager Teresa Outhier works at an assisted living and nursing home facility. As with many other medical professionals, she has struggled with a shortage of masks.

This afternoon, she set out fabric to give to her friend Lori in exchange for a stack of masks, but these masks weren't for personal use.

They were for a friend of a friend who works as a nurse at a prison where none of the staff had received protective gear.

To prevent bringing any germs to or from work, Outhier leaves her shoes on the front porch of her Tennessee home. She says that she wants new and fun shoes when this is all over.
