Social Media Experience

At the French Embassy in the US, I began as an intern and now hold the role of copy editor in chief. My principal duties include daily writing production, curation of visuals and partnership and communications outreach. On top of this, I advise top leaders on how to react in breaking news situations and aid my colleagues in the production of press documents.

In short, I wear many hats that include: researcher, photo and video editor, copy writer, communications officer, newsie and, above all, Francophile.

Featured below are posts that I believe demonstrate my abilities, but of course, the best way to see my work is to take a break and scroll through the work I produce daily for the France in the US media, available here:

Franco-American Storytelling

A journalist by training, I enjoy finding hidden connections between people, places and organizations and transforming that into an engaging narrative. I am particularly proud of posts like the one pictured here to the left that takes a current event centered on an American creative and connects it to a vibrant French institution.

Partnerships

As the French representation in the US, I see it as part of our mission to support French entrepreneurs and businesses. I do this via social through partnerships for contests that grow our following and spotlight apps like Mapstr that touch many institutions across the country.

Diplomacy

As a native English speaker with an ear to the ground on social media, I often aid in curating posts with our leadership to save them time and to effectively get our organization's messaging across to our audience.

History

Introducing our audience to the rich and vast Franco-American history is no doubt one of the best parts of the job. There are the obvious connections like Lafayette and Lady Liberty, but getting to write about a Little Alsace in the middle of Texas–priceless.

Culture

A reader and film fanatic from an early age, I enjoy writing about new releases, authors, directors and artists. From The French Dispatch to Emily in Paris, I find enjoyment in it all.

Euro 2021

Of course, no diplomatic social media portfolio would be complete without a bit of football drama. From France to Switzerland with love and allez les bleus!
