If I had to describe heaven, I'd start by showing you a picture of Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, Maryland.
Tucked away at the end of a country backroad, this nursery is a haven away from the outside world that's filled with flowers, light from the greenhouse, garden supplies, dog treats, and decorations for every upcoming holiday. It embodies the freshness of spring and the newness of autumn, but throughout all the seasons of my life, Homestead has remained a constant from my earliest visits to Santa to my recent return to the great state of Maryland.
Today, I got to share this place with a couple of sweet friends who have heard me babble on about Homestead since the first day we stepped onto campus. Here are a few snapshots from our afternoon. I am so grateful for these smiling gals and a little taste of spring in the dead of February.
